London Gatwick & London Heathrow RNAV (GNSS) Final Approach Procedures

With effect 1 June 2008 London Heathrow RNAV (GNSS) procedure for runway 27L are available for use by all suitably approved operators and with immediate effect London Gatwick RNAV (GNSS) procedures for runway 26L/08R are available for all suitably approved operators.

 

AIP Supplement S11/2008 attached provides details of the procedures and associated RT phraseology. In order to use the procedures the aircraft navigation system must meet the requirements specified in the supplement and the operator must be approved by their state of registry to perform RNAV (GNSS) approach procedures and this must be stated in the operators AOC or Operations Specification.

 

For non UK operators there is not a requirement to obtain a separate UK CAA approval in addition to an approval granted by the state of registry. If you wish your airline to use these procedures please provide an email to Simon Taylor (simon.taylor@nats.co.uk) with a copy of your state approval for each aircraft type that you intend to use the procedures and the appropriate contact details in your Flight Operations department.

 

Note that Gatwick Northerly Runway APV charts which will be published in a separate AIP Supplement on Thursday 19 Jun 2008 for availability from 31 July 2008.
