Dear Business Aviation Professional,
In my capacity as Chairman of EBAA, together with a strong team in Brussels, I am totally dedicated to protecting our Members' interests and, in particular, to ensuring the unique characteristics and vital importance of BizAv to European economies are fully recognised by Officials and Regulators.
My goal is to let all of them understand that Business Aviation is not a "toy for rich and famous people" but an important tool for the economic development of our continent.
At a time of unprecedented change for our industry in Europe, we have to draw the attention of our authorities on our need to be differentiated from the other sectors of aviation (General or Line Commercial aviation). Our Association actively contributes to defining appropriate rules regarding many different policy developments and topics such as the Single European Sky, airfields and airspace access, environment, safety, security, taxes and charges etc.
We are also playing a key role, as regards the changing EU/US relations. Through the Industry Working Group on International Business Aviation Operations (IWG-BAO), in co-operation with our colleagues in NBAA, we are working to ensure that European operators are treated in a fair and equitable way.
Our joint venture with NBAA in EBACE has made it in six short years Europe's premiere and only dedicated BizAv event, playing a very important role in facilitating the growth and effectiveness of BizAv in Europe, an industry that is now growing steadily after a period of stagnation in the 1990s.
Competition in the Global Economy fosters the necessity to be more efficient, more present in the market, in order to increase our productivity by "buying time" for management.
Business Aviation can achieve that and we look forward to helping you deliver your goals
