NCC Working Group

In August 2013, the EASA Air Operations Regulation was complemented by an Annex VI on Part-Non Commercial Complex (NCC) Aircraft rules. EU Member States all decided to opt out for the longest period permitted of three years. 1½ years down the line, we’re now half-way to NCC’s official implementation, and time is more than ripe for the Business Aviation community to look into Regulation 800/2013, to understand it, to anticipate its requirements, and to flag up those areas that, if left unaddressed, could potentially be detrimental to the sector.

Questions such as the one of legal oversight, of mixed-mode operations (e.g. non-commercial flights by an AOC holder) or of the use of independent pilots are but a small fragment of a much longer list of topics that the Secretariat would like to address with its members ahead of 25 August 2016. Accordingly, the EBAA Board of Governors has called for the creation of a Working Group on NCC.
