Objectives of the Flight Time Limitations Working Group

The objective of the FTL Working Group is to ensure that European flight time limitation rules appropriately reflect the operational realities of business aviation while maintaining the highest safety standards.

The group monitors regulatory developments at the European level, particularly within EASA rulemaking processes, and provides coordinated industry input where appropriate. Through collaboration between operators, safety specialists, and regulatory experts, the Working Group seeks to promote proportionate, evidence-based fatigue management frameworks that support both operational flexibility and crew wellbeing.

The Working Group also facilitates the sharing of best practices and operational insights among members, helping the sector adapt to evolving regulatory requirements and strengthen its safety culture.
