6 March 2026, Brussels. We are delighted to announce that EBAA has joined the Global Action Plan for the Prevention of Airborne Conflict (GAPPAC), a new international safety initiative led by the Flight Safety Foundation, together with Eurocontrol and other aviation partners.
The initiative brings together 150 experts from more than 80 organisations across the aviation ecosystem to analyse airborne conflict risks and develop coordinated, system-level safety recommendations.
GAPPAC follows a similar approach to previous global initiatives addressing runway incursions and runway excursions (GAPPRI and GAPPRE), where the aviation community worked collectively to identify key risk drivers and develop practical mitigation actions.
EBAA’s participation is important because business aviation is an integral part of the airspace system. Through this working group, we will bring the operational perspective of our members into the discussion and contribute to the development of future safety recommendation.
