On 10 December 2020, the European Commission put forward contingency measures to mitigate some of the significant disruptions that will occur on 1 January in case a deal with the UK is not yet in place.

EBAA joins over 20 associations collectively representing the entire European aviation ecosystem to announce a joint commitment to work with policy makers to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2050, as part of a comprehensive collaborative analysis released today detailing ways aviation can recover sustainably and more resiliently from the COVID-19 crisis whilst supporting the European Union’s Green Deal objectives.

EBAA signed a declaration, alongside 19 other European aviation associations calling for a bold strategy for a sustainable recovery of European aviation.

Calling for a comprehensive Aviation Relief Programme to rebuild the sector, the report notes the critical importance of restoring the public’s confidence in aviation as a key priority and urgent prerequisite in ensuring recovery.

Geneva/Cologne/Brussels, 23 July 2020 – European Aviation Associations and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) agreed to strengthen efforts to ensure a consistent and safe travel experience for passengers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this unprecedented global downturn, there are calls from some quarters to ensure that as part of the recovery and return to normal operations process, aircraft operators do so, whether they have received assistance or not, with an improved environmental profile.

Brussels, 30 June 2020. As Europe prepares to reopen on 1 July, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) today urged governments in the EU and the EFTA Member States, and the United Kingdom, to lift travel restrictions in a carefully coordinated manner.
