S.T.A.R.S. (Standards & Training for Aviation Responsibility and Sustainability) is an initiative launched by young business aviation professionals with the support of EBAA and IBAC to help the industry align with the Business Aviation Commitment on Climate Change and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) are today highlighting the official launch of the ambitious programme called S.T.A.R.S. – Standards & Training for Aviation Responsibility and Sustainability - at the 2022 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2022), taking place 23-25 May in Geneva, Switzerland.

The business aviation industry has always been dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the communities we operate in. There are many individual
environmental and social initiatives undertaken by our members across Europe. S.T.A.R.S. aims to consolidate, grow and promote those actions.

25 September 2020, Brussels Furthering its commitment to help business aircraft operators and companies take substantial action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) has launched two working groups tasked with defining guidelines for the sector’s bold initiative S.T.A.R.S. – Standards & Training for Aviation Responsibility and Sustainability.

S.T.A.R.S., otherwise known as Standards & Training for Aviation Responsibility and Sustainability, is an initiative set in motion by young business aviation professionals from across Europe. Their goal? To develop and introduce industry-wide sustainability standards and an accompanying label.
