Biographhy
Eddy Liégeois is Head of the Aviation Policy unit since January 2025, in charge of EU policy to promote a competitive, connected and sustainable European aviation market and industry.
Among the files under responsibility of Eddy, we can mention :
- Preparation of the Aviation strategy planned to be presented by the Commission in Fall 2026;
- Revision of the Air Services regulation and Review of the airport package on slots, airport charges and groundhandling;
- Decarbonisation of aviation, in particular the implementation of RefuelEU Aviation for the uptake of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).
From January 2021 to December 2024 Eddy was Head of the Transport Networks unit, i.e. development of transport infrastructure.
