As a commitment to shaping the future of aviation, Mélissa Capizzi, Arthur Thomas and Maureen Gautier proudly represented EBAA at the Aviation 4 Girls (A4G) 2023 event held at the Amsterdam University of Applied Science on October 28, 2023. Operating under the overarching theme, “Reach for the Skies: Empowering Young People in STEM and Aviation Careers,” EBAA actively engaged with young girls and boys, aged between 15 and 18, leaving a mark on this influential event.

Key highlights of EBAA’s participation

A key focal point of EBAA’s involvement was the establishment of a dedicated stand at the Career Fair. Here, our representatives seized a unique opportunity to interact directly with the young attendees, sharing insights into their current roles and career paths, and unravelling the intriguing world of Business aviation. Our goal was to provide invaluable perspectives on the dynamic landscape of our sector, shedding light on the diverse and thrilling career opportunities available within our industry.

Beyond the Career Fair, A4G 2023 featured a variety of engaging activities, amplifying the impact of the event. Young attendees had the opportunity to craft their own aircraft profile in the MakersLab, immerse themselves in the captivating world of Virtual Reality with “Amelia’s Dream,” take command of a B737 NG Simulator, and master the art of flying a drone with Dronemasters. The event successfully blended education with excitement, offering a holistic experience that went beyond traditional learning environments.

Sharing success stories and industry insights

Throughout the event, Mélissa, Arthur and Maureen shared success stories and industry insights, offering a glimpse into the real-world impact of careers in Business aviation. By showcasing the diverse and rewarding nature of roles within the sector, EBAA aimed to inspire and reinforce the boundless possibilities awaiting the next generation of aviation professionals.

EBAA next steps in nurturing Business aviation’s future workforce

EBAA extends sincere gratitude to AviAll, organisers of A4G 2023, and all those who contributed to its success.

As we reflect on this enriching experience, EBAA remains steadfast in its dedication to actively participating in initiatives that shape the future of aviation. In addition to the Business aviation modules initiated this year across various universities throughout Europe, EBAA will continue nurturing the growth of the aviation community and inspiring the younger generation of leaders.

Stay tuned for more updates and initiatives as EBAA continues to pave the way for the future of Business aviation.
