Safety in business aviation isn’t just manuals or dashboards — it lives in everyday decisions, vigilance, and the courage to speak up. Our fast, flexible, high-pressure operations demand that safety belongs to everyone, not a single department. That’s why BASIC 2025 matters: a space where the community comes together to turn safety from procedure into practice.

The EU is moving toward a binding 2040 climate target of –90% net GHG vs. 1990, by amending the European Climate Law. This would lock in the headline objective and instruct the Commission to rebuild the post-2030 policy architecture accordingly.

The EU–U.S. trade agreement imposes a 15% tariff on most goods — but aviation doesn't fall under that. Aircraft, aircraft engines, and parts remain zero-tariff, ensuring transatlantic supply chains. This outcome follows intense lobbying by industry leaders on both sides of the Atlantic. One major win for business aviation — it ensures stability, access, and growth.

This spring, EASA launched an impact assessment survey as part of the rulemaking task RMT.0392, as outlined in the EBAA industry update from 10/02/2023 (link to https://www.ebaa.org/industry-updates/european-plan-for-aviation-safety-2023-2025-epas-impact-on-business-aviation/). The aim is to review the existing Complex Motor-Powered Aircraft (CMPA) criteria under Regulation (EU) 965/2012 and explore more relevant, balanced alternatives. The survey closed on 27 June 2025.
