Brussels, 27 March 2023. Today, European Business Aviation Association Chairman Juergen Wiese informed the EBAA membership of the passing of EBAA Secretary-General Athar Husain Khan on Sunday 26 March 2023, at 60 years old.

AIROPS is an educative platform where Business aviation professionals gather to further improve safe and efficient Business aviation operations in Europe.

So far, the 2020s have been an interesting time for European Business aviation. Following the uncertainty of COVID-19 and its impact on aviation as a whole, our industry hit new heights in July 2021, recording our busiest month ever with around 85,000 flights. This trend has continued into 2022, as commercial aviation has struggled to come to terms with rebounding demand of travellers.

Montreal – October 7, 2022 – The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), alongside EBAA, applauds the adoption of a long-term aspirational goal for international aviation of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, by governments gathered for the 41st ICAO Assembly this week. The decision sends an important signal of the resolve of the international aviation community to decarbonize.

The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) welcomes the decision by the European Parliament to introduce an amendment to RefuelEU, considering the possible introduction of a book and claim system for SAF across the Union. The amendment followed a dedicated campaign by aviation stakeholders together with EBAA to help avoid unnecessary logistics and bureaucracy, and increase the use by Business aviation of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
