European Business aviation traffic tracker (June 2020)

Using EUROCONTROL data, we have compiled the European Business aviation traffic figures for June 2020.

In this report, you will find detailed information on European Business aviation traffic, in a geographic and weekly breakdown.

Towards a return to normal operations?

  • Mid-June, the EU lifted internal borders’ restrictions, allowing passengers to once again travel within Europe.
  • We observed a slight upturn in Business Aviation traffic towards the end of May. This recovery was confirmed and accelerated over the whole month of June, showing traffic levels at 42% compared to 2019.
  • The start of the recovery is taking place at the beginning of the summer period. Therefore seasonal aspects can generate variations in the speed of recovery across European countries.
  • The use of small aircraft favoured during the crisis seems to continue. Turboprop and light jets account for 70% of the traffic.

EBAA is actively and closely monitoring developments related to the COVID-19 outbreak. We work with European and global authorities, and other aviation organisation, to gather, filter and disseminate official guidance and information to our members, and the broader industry  as it becomes available.
