The European Commission’s “Fit for 55” package published last July includes several proposals which will significantly affect our sector and society in general in the years to come.

After 18 months of pandemic, business aviation operators, terminals (FBOs) and all partners and stakeholders of the business aviation value chain have implemented safety measures at every stage of the journey to ensure the health and wellbeing of passengers, workers and citizens in general. Our industry cooperated with EASA to define an effective and efficient EASA-ECDC COVID-19 Aviation Health Safety Protocol that all our stakeholders apply.

Whilst the Business aviation operators are committed to make their industry greener and sustainable and the ReFuel EU Aviation initiative of the European Commission is becoming more and more concrete, several national legislations already make the use of biofuel mandatory for the airlines.

Today, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) notes the study on Business aviation by Transport & Environment and points out the European sector has been working diligently and successfully towards decarbonisation through its own commitment on climate change since 2009.

Brussels, 26 March 2021. The European Business Aviation Association is today highlighting the contribution of Business aviation to the region’s economy and its importance for post-COVID19 recovery with the publication of its annual Yearbook.

EBAA signed a declaration, alongside 19 other European aviation associations calling for a bold strategy for a sustainable recovery of European aviation.

The Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF Coalition) today released a new informational guide detailing how industry leaders can incorporate sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) into their operations and accelerate the adoption of low-carbon fuels, while reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Today, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), as well as national associations together urged European policy-makers and regulators to protect the continuity and survival of the Business aviation sector in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
